Gucci opens Bologna museum

27/09/2011

As part of its on-going 90th birthday celebrations, Italian fashion and leathergoods label Gucci has opened a museum that will display some of their brand’s best designs to date, since 1921.

The Gucci Museo opens to the public on September 28, 2011 at Palazzo della Mercanzia in Bologna, Italy.

On the Gucci Museo’s ground floor will be a coffee shop and bookstore, downstairs from a display of handbags, red carpet outfits, and other archival pieces from Gucci.

On the second floor of the museum is a display of garments and artworks that are emblazoned with the GG logo. Admission to the museum will be 6 Euros, with half of the proceeds going to help restore the Italian city of Florence.
