Argentine beef exports up in value, down in volume

Recently released figures show that Argentina exported 151,376 tonnes of beef during the first seven months of 2011. This total represents a fall of 22.1% in volume compared to the same period last year.
However, the country earned $868.8 million from beef exports over this period of time, which is 10.6% more than for the first seven months of 2010.
