Barbados: $46 million invested in manufacturing in 2010
A total of $46 million was invested in Barbados’s manufacturing and related services in 2010 – including its leathergoods industry. The injection of capital into the industry is outlined in the Barbados Economic and Social report for 2010.
The report which is published annually by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, said that the investment was 50.9% higher than the amount which went into the industry in 2009.
New investments represented 1.5% of total investments, while investments in expansion of existing plants represented 98.5%.
