Madam Zhang predicts 12% annual growth for leather industry in China

Outgoing president of the China Leather Industry Association, Madam Zhang Shuhua, has said the leather sector in her country should aim to grow by 12% per year over the next five years.

In 2010, China exported finished and semi-finished leather worth $408 million, as well as 880.2 million pairs of leather shoes with a value of $8.3 billion, leather garments worth $780.8 million.
