China: Jiangmen luggage and bags exports up 40%

According to the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), Jiangmen city in Guangdong province has reported a 41.6% increase in its luggage and bags exports. In the first seven months, the city’s luggage and bags exports had a value of $73.1 million.
Exports to the EU also saw a growth of 40.2% to $27.6 million, making the EU the largest importer of Jiangmen’s leather products, followed by Hong Kong and the US.
The city’s exports to emerging countries in South America, Africa and the United Arab Emirates marked a double growth in value.
