New trade agreement bodes well for Colombian leather

Colombia and Canada signed a free trade agreement on August 15 and Colombia’s minister of commerce, industry and tourism, Sergio Díaz-Granados, has said leather and footwear will be among the Colombian industries to benefit.

In a radio interview after the ceremony celebrating the new agreement, Mr Díaz-Granados said: “Canada is a country full of opportunities for Colombia. Sectors such as clothing, footwear, leathergoods and agriculture will have an opportunity for growth.”
