Brazilian packers cleared for exports to Ukraine

The authorities in Ukraine have cleared four new Brazilian packer firms to export beef to its retailers. The Brazilian Association of Packer Firms, ABRAFRIGO, has said the development is the result of work it has been doing to boost the export business of small and medium-sized meat companies.

Last year Brazil exported a total of 10,300 tonnes of beef to the eastern European country, bringing in revenues of $38.3 million. ABRAFRIGO believes opening the Ukrainian market up to more exporters will boost this total.

The four companies newly cleared to export beef to Ukraine are Tatuibi, Mafripar, Frigon, and Barra Mansa.
