New abattoirs for Uganda

The authorities in Uganda have said four new slaughterhouse facilities will be built  beef processing plants in central, eastern and western districts to improve the quality of meat on the market.

Animal industry minister, Bright Rwamirama, has said the new abattoirs will be built in Soroti, Mbarara, Nakaseke and Mpigi districts, with the funding coming from a
public-private partnership programme.
