Pakistan’s leather industry is planning to organise a new leather event in the third week of January 2012.

Hosted by a newly built exhibition centre in the city of Lahore, the Pakistan Leather Show is awaiting final approval from the country’s trade development agency.

The Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA) has told leatherbiz that it will work with the Pakistan Leather Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PLGMEA), the Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers Exporters Association (PGMEA) to arrange what it said would be “a mega-event” for the country’s leather industry, with finished leather and finished goods, including footwear, on show.
