COTANCE will attend World Leather Congress

The European leather industry’s representative body in Brussels, COTANCE, has announced that its current president, Albert Roselló (from Spanish tanning company Serpelsa) and secretary-general, Gustavo Gonzalez-Quijano, will attend the World Leather Congress in Rio de Janeiro in November.

COTANCE will be among the organisations to speak at the event, which is being organised by the Brazilian Tanners Association CICB under the auspices of the International Council of Tanners.

“The COTANCE presence has to be understood in the context of the ongoing negotiations between the European Union and Mercosur over a free trade agreement,” the organisation said on confirming its attendance.

The World Leather Congress will take place on November 9.
