US specialist leather retail and wholesale group Tandy Leather Factory has announced that comparable stores’ sales for the month of June were up 4% for the 76 stores compared to the same period last year.

Sales for the month were $5.3 million, up 4% compared to June 2010 sales. Retail Leathercraft’s sales rose to $3 million from $2.8 million. Wholesale Leathercraft posted sales of $2.1 million, up 2% compared prior year.

Year to date, the 75 comparable stores’ sales were up 14% compared to sales reported for the same period in 2010. Total sales were up 10% to $31.9 million from $29 million last year.
