Leather market to be opened in Wuhou, Chengdu city

A new leather market in Wuhou district, Chengdu city, China, is expected to open in this August, according to the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA).  The market will have a total area of 73,000 square metres and can accommodate 1,000 retail stores.

 

On 27 June 2011 more than 20 leather companies from Guangdong province signed contracts on establishing stores there, and leather traders from Haining city also registered an area of 5,000 square metres in the market.

 

According to the CLIA, Wuhou Leather Market is aiming at selling leathergoods in retail and wholesale. It will be an integrated part of the Wuhou leather industrial development program, which includes a Wuhou footwear direct marketing and logistics service and office areas that are already in use by businesses.
