Sri Lanka promotes exporters at Expo Bazaar
Expo Bazaar 2011 was held from 8-1 April in Colombo, Sri Lanka, as part of the country’s attempts to develop its exporter community.
Organised by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (SLEDB), the event had the objective of stimulating a new export culture in the country, paving the way to the stakeholders
There were 130 stalls representing more than 100 companies in exports. Among them were a number of footwear and leathergoods companies.
Most of the participating companies commended the efforts made by the SLEDB in arranging the Expo Bazaar 2011 and stated that the event had been an eye-opener to the stakeholders to realise how important the export sector of the country was. They have wished the SLEDB success in its mission to increase the export revenue to $15 billion in the year 2015.
