The Turkish government has launched a project to control the spread of Brucellosis and tuberculosis among sheep and cattle across the country.

Around 20 million head of cattle and 10 million sheep will be targeted during the programme. Government vets will vaccinate healthy animals and educate livestock farmers about these animal diseases in an attempt to control and eventually eradicate them and improve Turkey’s overall record in animal husbandry.
