ATC inaugurates new production facility

22/06/2011
French leather chemicals producer ATC has inaugurated a new 4,000 square-metre production facility in Trevoux, near Lyon.

Early in July, the plant will start production of polyurethane and acrylic resins (for wet-end and finishing), fatliquors and copolymers. ATC said it had invested a total of EUR 7 million in the new factory, doubling its capacity, and providing the opportunity to develop a range of new products, including a compact range of “high-tech polymers” for tanning, retanning and fatliquoring called ACTIPACT.

Established by Jean-Pierre Gualino, in 1973, ATC’s headquarters and original production site are in Montanay, also near Lyon. It is still
a family-owned business, run by Mr Gualino and his two sons.

ATC has subsidiaries in Brazil, India and Thailand and
95% of its production goes for export.
