Turkish fair sees $100m deals
The 30th Shoes, Bags and Accessories Fair in Izmir, Turkey, was held from 16-19 June 2011 at the IZFAS Fairgrounds Basmane. In total, 115 domestic producers attended to exhibit their products.
More than 9,000 trade visitors from Turkey and from more than 30 countries visited the fair. Among them were Bulgaria, China, Greece, Jordan, Pakistan, Russia and Ukraine. On display was a variety of shoes for men, women and children as well as leathergoods (including suitcases, belts and bags).
The General Manager of IZFAS, Mr.Dogan Isleyen said: “We hope business cooperation will increase in the future with our neighbour countries. For example, about 20 buyers came from Iran and also from several Arabic countries and made agreements worth more than $100 million.”
