17/06/2011
Effective immediately, or as existing contracts permit, BASF is raising its prices for formic acid in Europe to EUR 80 per tonne, in South America to $80 per tonne and in Asia by $50 per tonne.

BASF’s customers use formic acid in multiple applications. In many tanneries around the world, formic acid is used to pickle skins and in the fixation of dyes and fatliquors.

BASF is one of the world’s leading producer of formic acid, with production plants at its sites in Ludwigshafen, Germany, and Nanjing, China.
