In contrast, women in the UK, to where Accessory Heaven also ships its bags, own six handbags each on average.
Noelle Towler, founder of the online retailer, said: “An Australian woman will spend $272 each year on new handbags while British women only spend $99. We also carry around a whopping 3.4 kilos in our handbags while the Brits carry about 1.8 kg on average.”
