Clariant hosts autumn-winter 12-13 colour workshop

20/05/2011
Specialty chemical company Clariant hosted a workshop on colours for autumn-winter 2012-2013 at its premises in Leinfelden, Germany, at the start of May with its trend partner ModEurop.

ModEurop had analysed basic themes in advance, but the workshop provided the opportunity for Clariant and its partner to decide on the overall colour palette for the season. Although it is 18 months away, the time is right to point tanners in the direction of the colours they will have to achieve in their leathers to meet the fashion demands of their customers for the autumn-winter 2012-2013 season.

Tanners, designers, shoe manufacturers and retailers all took part in the workshop.

“As a global supplier to the shoe, automotive, furniture and garment sectors, we need to be closely involved in the development of the seasonal colour story for our customers worldwide; we were delighted to host this event,” said Ralph Schneider, head of finishing at the Clariant Business Unit Leather Services.
