TFL publishes colour trends for autumn-winter 2012-2013

13/05/2011
Leather chemicals manufacturer TFL has released its Colour Trends catalogue for the season autumn-winter 2012-13. In the catalogue, TFL presents the colour trends it foresees for the leather garment, footwear, accessory and upholstery industry.

The company has divided the colour trends into “Wearing” and “Living”, devoting a section to each within the publication. “Wearing” comprises inspirations and colour trends for garments, footwear and accessories. The “Living” section features colours that it believes will dominate the season’s interior design trends.

In “Living” a geometric pop art motif and countless variations of textile designs including stripes and cashmere, as well as large and small squares move through next winter’s collection. You will find nubuck with unusual materials embossed with irregular patterns, fine grain micro-flotter bovine leather with light effects of the same colour creating a surface of shimmering images. The colours range from beige and brown tones to various orange tones.

In “Wearing” TFL tanners will use nubuck surfaces in various thicknesses and from different animals that "follow our movements comfortably". Moreover, we see in this season beautiful soft suede "almost transparent in its authentic structure". The colours range from brown, dark blue-grey and dark green tones to violet and red tones.

In addition, the company is featuring the TFL SELLA FIX HPF conc – a high performance product to fix dyes and other anionic products to increase wet fastness properties, especially the perspiration fastness.

The TFL Colour Trends catalogue is now available on the company's website.
