Export growth for Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka's Export Development Board has reported that the country exported leather sector products worth $32.75 million in the period between January 2010 to November 2010. Exports of finished leather, leathergoods and leather footwear were included in the calculation.

The breakdown showed that Sri Lanka exported leather and leathergoods worth $15.1 million and footwear worth $17.6 million in the 11-month period, showing growth of 20.6% and 12.7% respectively compared to the corresponding period the year before.

The Sri Lanka's total exports during this period reached $7.3 billon, growth of 14.5% from the year before.
