Istanbul fair was a success
The 45th International Shoe Supply Industry Fair took place in Istanbul, Turkey, from 23-26 March, 2011.
During the fair, companies exhibited shoe auxiliary products, accessories, chemicals, various types of leathers and footwear machinery. Relevant trade organisations, schools and press also had stands.
The exhibition area was 15,000 square metres and around 300 companies participated. The president of the Turkish Shoe Suppliers’ Association, Ender Yazici, said: “Rapid development of our footwear industry increased our domestic sales and our exports were over $400 million last year.”
Guests from more than 30 countries visited the Fair, among them buyers from Iran, Spain, Italy, Middle East and Brazil.
The Fair was organised by Pozitif Fuarcilik and was held at the CNR Expo Fair Centre. The main sponsors were the Turkish Shoe Suppliers’ Association and the Turkish Footwear R&D Foundation.
