Russia to raise export tax on leather

The Russian Government has issued a resolution to increase export tariffs on leather and crust (and wet blue), according to the country’s economy and lifestyle website.
The new tariffs, which will come into effect in mid-April 2011, will increase the tax on leather and crust exports by 10%, excepting the members of a customs union agreement. The tariff should not be lower than EUR250 for per ton of leather.
