Vietnam seminar aims to improve leather and footwear sector
The Vietnam Leather and Footwear Association held a seminar on March 10, 2011, to build capacity for Vietnamese leather and footwear businesses.
European experts provided participants with in-depth reports on international trade and various ways to improve their competitiveness and penetrate EU markets.
In 2010, the sector’s export turnover reached more than $6 billion of which the EU markets accounted for 50%.
Nguyen Duc Thuan, chairman of the Vietnam Leather and Footwear Association emphasised the need to expand the distribution network far and wide and build a strong brand name for the sector.
