Stahl finishing seminar takes place in Reutlingen

08/03/2011
Specialty chemicals manufacturers Stahl returned to the Lederinstitut Gerberschule Reutlingen in Germany at the start of March to conduct a course it organises over one week each year in leather finishing. The course this year was led by Frans van den Heuvel, from the company’s headquarters at Waalwijk in the Netherlands.

A group of fifteen students from all over the world travelled to Germany to attend.

One-to-one individual coaching plays a large part of the practical work undertaken by the students, alongside hints on many aspects of leather finishing, the tutors are able to oversee progress in producing finished leather that comes close to resembling patterns, performance and production specifications.

Frans van den Heuvel said afterwards that this year’s participants would almost certainly be the leaders in the tanneries of tomorrow, that they will find their way to the top of the companies for which they work. This is why he thinks these training courses are a good investment by Stahl.
