Pakistan to export leathergoods to Japan
Pakistan will export leathergoods, textile and mangoes Japan, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) chief executive Tariq Iqbal Puri said on 28 February, 2011.
Mr Tariq, who accompanied President Asif Ali Zardari to Japan on February 21-23, said Pakistan would start exporting mangoes in 2012, when a restriction would be removed, according to local media.
Japan's largest retail chain, AEON, will send a mission to Pakistan by October 2011 to source possible purchases of goods for its 4,500 outlets in Japan, Mr Tariq added.
In July the TDAP will send a delegation of Pakistani exporters to Japan Fashion Week, he said.
