Pakistan: leather exports up 17.2%
Pakistani exports have recorded an impressive growth during the seven months to January 2011. Total exports rose 22.7% to $13.2 billion during the July to January period of the current fiscal 2011, according to the Federal Bureau of Statistics. This compares favourably with exports of $10.8 billion in the like period 2010.
Exports of leather products rose 17.2%, with a total sale of $330.6 million, up from $282 million in the like period of 2010.
