Guangdong, Fujian and Zhejiang produce 80% of domestic footwear

The Guangdong, Fujian and Zhejiang provinces manufacture 80% of leather shoes for China’s domestic market, according to the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA).
Guangdong produced 29% of the country’s domestic leather shoes, with an increase of 12.4% over the previous year, while Fujian province shared 27.3% of the total production, up 27.9% year on year, and Zhejiang accounted for 26%, posting a growth of 12.1% in 2010.
