New chief financial officer for Lanxess

04/02/2011
Specialty chemicals manufacturer Lanxess has announced that Matthias Zachert will step down as its chief financial officer on March 31, 2011 “to address a new challenge”. He has spent seven years at Lanxess, establishing the company’s global finance organisation and playing a key part in the restructuring the Lanxess portfolio.

Lanxess says that Mr Zachert “decisively strengthened the standing of the company” with ratings agencies and equity markets.

After his departure, Dr Bernhard Düttmann, chief financial officer of Hamburg-based Beiersdorf will take over the role at Lanxess. The chemicals manufacturer said it was particularly impressed by Dr Heitmann’s experience in important growth regions such as Latin America and Asia.
