Media in China have reported that US-based leathergoods brand Coach is planning to open 25 new stores in China in 2011. The company opened three new outlets in China during the last three months of 2010 and now has 52 directly operated stores in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.
In reporting its second-quarter earnings at the end of January, Coach made no mention of the new store openings in China.
