Eleven tanneries support Paris project
20/01/2011
For the past ten years, the French Fashion Institute (IFM) has arranged for students on its Master’s course in design to spend time with leading luxury companies to create products for the special project.
As a supporter of the initiative, Le Cuir À Paris, as in previous years, is making space available at its first 2011 exhibition (February 8–10) for the students involved to showcase their work under the banner of IFM Creation. On this occasion, 18 young designers from different parts of the world have signed up to take part.
The luxury brands that have helped the students prepare for IFM Creation include Chanel, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Prada and Yves Saint Laurent. In addition, 11 tanneries have lent support to the initiative to allow the IFM students to develop their design ideas for bags, footwear and garments.
The tanneries involved this time are Alran, Bodin Joyeux, Conceria Incas, Maison Fichet, RG Deri, Sabine-Charvet, Megisserie Lauret, Novalpina France, Nuova Conceria Chiorino, Poulain Peausserie and Tannerie Dupire.
