Indian leather firm wins four awards

Indian leather company Superhouse Limited has received four awards for leather exports in the year 2009-10.

 

The awards were announced by the Council of Leather Exports, a body of ministry of commerce and industry, government of India.

 

On the basis of quality and new product development, the company was awarded the first prize in overall exports, leather garments and non-leather harness. The chairman of the company, Mukhtarul Amin, will receive the award on January 31, 2011, in Chennai.

 

The Superhouse Group started in the leather business with a small tannery in 1984-85. It currently has 19 units located in Kanpur, Unnao, Agra and Noida. The business organisation exports leather goods to European countries, the US and Canada.
