Trussardi creates all-leather collection

18/01/2011

Italian fashion house Trussardi recently unveiled its autumn 2011 menswear collection, which uses only leather, shearling and fur, in a nod to the company’s history of leather crafting.

The company began in 1911 making fine leather gloves, which it still does, alongside its men’s and women’s wear collections, bridge line Tru Turssardi, and denim label Trussardi Jeans.

On 12 January 2011, Trussardi staged a fashion show in Florence, Italy, to reveal its ‘all-skin’ collection. Creative director Milan Vukmirovic created the entire collection from leather; from chamois t-shirts and white button-front shirts to soft suede trench coats and glossy black leather pants, every item started as a skin.
