Pakistan: government will help promote leather garments overseas

Pakistan is to send business delegations to South America, the US, eastern Europe, Russia, Japan, South Africa and China over the next two years in an attempt to promote leather garments produced by Pakistani companies.

The chief executive of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, Tariq Puri, met the chairman of the Pakistan Leather Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PLGMEA), Fawad Ijaz Khan, in Karachi at the start of January and discussed the idea.
