Swarovski uses leather in new men’s collection
Austrian jewellery brand Swarovski has announced it will launch its first ever men’s jewellery collection in January 2011.
Prominent in the collection is the ‘Nightfall’ range which combines crystal and leather. Included in the range is a gothic bracelet made entirely of black calfskin, as well as a wallet, card holder and business card holder which are all made of calfskin with jet hematite crystals.
“Unlike our women’s jewellery collections which are characterized by bright colours and bold crystals, we have focused here on a cleaner, purer interpretation of brilliance,” said Nathalie Colin, Swarovski creative director. “Secretive, mysterious and metallic, the men’s collection celebrates the timeless elegance and beauty of black tones.”
