Research teams reminded of IUR benefits

The International Union of Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies (IULTCS) has issued a statement to remind research project teams around the world about the benefits of registering for project certification with the IULTCS Research Commission (IUR).

IUR commission chair, Dr Dietrich Tegtmeyer, said in the statement that certification was aimed at recognising legitimate research and development projects across the industry, giving assurances that any certified projects conform to approved research platforms, meet minimum scientific criteria and address the needs of the global leather industry.

Dr Tegtmeyer said he believed research teams in companies, research centres or universities who secure certification for their research projects would stand a better chance of securing funding, gaining priority over other projects. He said confidentiality was guaranteed and that application for certification, for which there is a link on the IULTCS website, was simple.
