Louis Vuitton has chosen patent leather in a colour called pomme d'amour (apple of love, or tomato red) for the double-wrap strap on a new limited-edition women's watch that will go on sale in January and is aimed specifically at people celebrating Valentine's Day (February 14) or the Chinese New Year (February 3).

Fashion media have reported that the Tambour Heart watch will come in either a 28-millimetre or 34-millimetre version, with the luxury brand making only 500 pieces of each. Encrusted with diamonds, and with the Louis Vuitton monogram prominent everywhere, including the strap, prices start at around EUR 3,000.
