Tannery adds dates for popular embossed leather training course

A tanner in the hill-town of Ubrique in the Spanish province of Cádiz, Curtidos Cabezas, has announced that it will repeat a training session on the traditional art of embossing leather because of high public demand.

The company arranged a three-hour course on embossed leather, open to the public for a fee of EUR12, for November 27. Demand was such that it agreed to repeat the training session on December 4.

Curtidos Cabezas chose the Andalusian Leather Foundation's technical centre in Ubrique as the venue for both events.

It said participants would learn about the history of embossed leather, about the types of leathers most suited to it and about the best tools to use for the work, with plenty of opportunity to put their learning into practice.
