Sadesa sets record straight about New Zealand website

Argentina-based global tanning group Sadesa has issued a statement making it clear that it has no links to a company of the same name that was set up recently in New Zealand. It said it is also considering legal action to force the new company to change its name.

The company in New Zealand, Sadesa Limited, says its main line of business is the trading of hides, crust and finished leather, mainly for the footwear and automotive industries. Its chief executive, Luis Daniel Sosa Pérez, has ties to South America because he comes from Uruguay, but Sadesa insists it has no relationship with him.

The new company was established on October 27 this year.
