Export growth for Vietnamese leather sector

Vietnam’s export revenues for the first ten months of the year were $57.8 billion, according to official data released by the country’s General Statistics Office.

Leather footwear and leathergoods contributed $4.8 billion to this total, compared to $ 3.8 billion in the same period in 2009, growth of 27.1%.

More than $4 billlion of the leather sector’s total came from shoes, exports of which grew by 26.5% compared to the same period last year
