11/11/2010
Sales for the January-September period were EUR 609.1 million, an increase of 8.9% compared to the same period last year. Earnings for the 2010 period were up 20.4% at EUR 157.4 million.
The company said its collection of handbags and accessories had achieved “outstanding results” in the nine-month period. Revenues from leathergoods and accessories totalled EUR 88.6 million, growth of 3.3% on the same period in 2009.
On announcing the results, chairman and chief executive, Diego Della Valle, commented: “The success of 2010-11 fall-winter collections generated a further acceleration of our sales growth, in all the group’s markets and product categories. These outstanding sales figures have further driven the growth in profitability. I’m confident that the fourth quarter of 2010 could give us good results and, consequently, our full year figures should be really positive.”
