King of Jordan holds talks with Finland’s President
King Abdullah of Jordan has met with Finland President Tarja Halonen to discuss ways of improving bilateral trade. The private meeting on October 10 was followed by a larger meeting comprising a number of Finnish and Jordanian ministers and officials.
Jordan exports food, metal and chemical products as well as pottery and antiques to Finland. Its imports from Finland include food and chemical products as well as leather, metal, machinery and electric and medical equipment.
Jordan’s minister for industry and trade, Amer Hadidi, said that there was a huge amount of potential for trade between the two nations but that this potential was far from being realised.
