Deaths reported at Turkish tannery
At least three people were killed and five were injured in a blast at a Turkish tannery on October 3, according to the Anatolia news agency. The tannery is located in Guzelburc, a town in Hatay province
Two members of staff were reportedly killed when the explosion in the boiler room took place. The blast caused a truck parked outside the tannery to catch fire, killing the driver.
So far, there has been no official statement about the cause of the explosion. A number of emergency vehicles attended the scene and the blaze was extinguished relatively quickly.
