Yiwu centre attracts 100 leathergoods manufacturers

A new centre for sales of leathergoods and leather fashion in the Chinese city of Yiwu has had a successful first six months, the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) has said.

Famous as a trading centre for commodities, the authorities in Yiwu have said that the new facility, called the Direct Leather Sales Centre, makes sense, and in the first six months since it opened, 100 leathergoods and leather fashion manufacturers have opened outlets there to sell their products directly to the public.

The CLIA said the companies that have set up in Yiwu include six of China’s top ten leather clothing brands.
