Commenting on the trends to emerge from the London Fashion Week in mid-September, the newspaper said that fast fashion was slowing down and that a simpler way of shopping and dressing was taking its place. Luxury basics are a key theme and it went on to say the Desa’s “workwear [for fashionable women] and sleek leather pieces” were part of this.
It went on to quote Desa’s creative director, Fred Tutino, as saying: “As a child in America, I grew up on images of minimalist fashion through the 1960s and 1970s, so it very much forms part of my aesthetic. When you strip design down to its purest form, it’s all about great fit, precise cut and luxurious fabric.”
