Angola partnership going sour

A dispute over the running of a joint-venture meat production operation in Angola has gone to court.

The relationship between partners Cremonini of Italy and JBS of Brazil is becoming more and more challenging and JBS has taken its complaints to an Italian court.

Its main objection is the refusal by Cremonini executives to allow JBS’s Ricardo Meira to exercise the role of finance director of Inalca, a joint-venture they have been running in Angola.

Brazilian media have reported that JBS will move to close the operation down unless Italian members of the leadership team open themselves up to greater co-operation.
