Mipel launches competition ahead of 100th edition
A new contest launched during Mipel, which is currently taking place in Milan (September 19-22), invited around 50 Italian student photographers to submit photographs to mark the 100th edition of the bag show, which will take place in September 2011. The winning image will be chosen in March 2011 on the basis that it reflects the values and energy of the show.
The current edition of Mipel covers approximately 30,000 square-metres and hosts 387 exhibitors, 133 of whom are from overseas. Organisers are hoping to attract more visitors than the 16,163 that attended its March edition and expects as many overseas visitors as Italian attendees. The show is divided into six areas: Glamour, Accessories Trend, Fashion Trend, Overseas, Galleria and Start-Up.
The next editions will take place on March 6-9 and September 18-21, 2011.
