Education initiative for Quanzhou leather industry

The Quanzhou Industrial Economic Service and Training Centre in the Fujian province of China has teamed up with tanning company Xingye Leather to establish the area's first online business school for leather professionals.

The aim of the school is to provide leather enterprises around Quanzhou with training for their employees and to produce a qualified technical workforce for the industry in this part of China.

Its organisers say the school will be the first of its kind because it involves co-operation among private companies, the city authorities and the education sector.
