Chinese firm claims environmental badge for dyes

A Chinese leather chemicals manufacturer, Henan Chengtai Chemical Technology, has said that a special meeting it held at the All China Leather Exhibition in Shanghai in the first week in September to promote its latest products was a success.

The company’s latest innovation is in dyeing agents that it claims can match products currently being imported into China in terms of performance and also from an environmental point of view. It said several government agencies have accredited its new dyes under environmental legislation.
