Out of total Vietnam exports of $38.3 billion during the January–July 2010 period, the share of leathergoods and leather footwear was just over $2.9 billion.

Leather footwear exports over the seven-month period were worth $2.75 billion compared to $ 2.5 billion in the same period last year, growth of 11.8%.

Leathergoods exports were worth $535 million, up from $449 million on the same period last year, showing growth of 19.1%.
